Norway grants
On the occasion of the launch of our Mission 1000 project activities, we have prepared an event in Spišská Nová Ves for all who are interested in early care and effective approach to care in early childhood in the living conditions of the marginalised communities in Slovakia.
The event will inform the professional public about the Mission 1000 project and the work of our midwives. Together with our partners we will bring attention to the importance of early care, specifically in the environment of marginalised communities.
If you plan on attending the event, which will be held on Tuesday, 14 June 2022 at 3PM at the Hotel Metropol in Spišská Nová Ves, please register beforehand no later than Sunday, 12 June via our online registration form.
Our Mission 1000 programme focuses on the crucial first 1000 days from conception and builds community capacities in the area of care for pregnant women during their stay at a maternity ward as well as after their release home. It creates communication bridges between individuals and develops mutual relations between communities. The backbone of this project are our midwives – specialised health mediators.
The event will include a panel discussion on early care and a presentation on an upcoming worldwide campaign First Years First Priority.
The programme of the event is available HERE.
The “Mission 1000” benefits from a 199 000€ grant from Norway through the Norway Grants. The project has been co-financed from the State Budget of the Slovak Republic in the amount of 29 900€. The aim of the project is to mobilize social capital and build capacity in home and community care for pregnant women and children from marginalized backgrounds.
